About the Album:
The upcoming album was born from a single goal: to be as truthful as possible while diving headfirst into the messiness of grief. This project explores unresolved losses from the past and the raw emotions of the present—grief with loved ones, grief in politics and religion, grief in death. Each song takes on a different stage—anger, acceptance, denial, depression, bargaining—and weaves them into the rich, genre-bending tapestry of Americana. My hope is that this album meets you exactly where you are and reminds you that you aren’t alone.

Recording. I’ll be spending 9 days at Hunter Springs Studio in the wild & wonderful West Virginia laying 8 tracks for this album.

Producing. Grammy Award Winning Artist, Chance McCoy of Old Crow Medicine Show, will be producing this album. With his experience, ear & expertise we’ll bring these tracks to life.

Mastering. Once the tunes are recorded & produced, they need to be mastered for a consistent sound no matter how you choose to listen (vinyl, streaming, radio, desktop, headphones, BT speaker).

Musicians. Chance & myself play a variety of instruments but for those we don’t we’ll be relying on Virginia-based musicians for their expertise. Think drums (Jake Cochran of Illiterate Light) & harmonica (Austin Shifflett) to name some buds.

Public Relations. This album deserves a fair shake at reaching as many new fans as possible. A portion of the goal will go toward working with PR professionals who can get this album seen in various formats / mediums across the Americana / Roots genre.

Vinyl. It’s the best thing since sliced bread & it’s also expensive. Instead of investing in CDs that you can only listen to in your grandmoms’ car, I want to bring this album to you via Vinyl to add to your gorgeous collection.

No, the progress wheel is code that I manage myself. Given that I’m offering 3 different platforms one can choose to give through, I tally up the donations daily & update the progress widget every morning at 8am MT(ish) to reflect the current amount raised!

May 1st is the ultimate deadline but I need the funds asap. I have payments due throughout this time that are tough to front on my own (credit card).

I quit music indefinitely… lol jk though I’d probably feel like it. However, if I don’t meet my goal that just means I’ll either shorten my album to an EP (i.e 4 songs instead of 8) and/or not adequately promote it depending on how short in funds. Womp - we don’t want that, right!? SHARE THIS THING.
